Welcome to Eastport

Between Spa Creek and Back Creek and across from historic Annapolis, Eastport is a peninsula, making it the ultimate community to dock a boat and/or launch into the Bay. It’s the perfect place to get away from the craziness of downtown but still have a view of the water and history. Eastport is the maritime district of Annapolis largely due to the fact you can rent a canoe, kayak, or stand-up paddle board in the warmer months and be on your way. Capital SUP, a stand-up paddle-boarding business, is located in Eastport and is very popular among all age groups. Find out more information about this water sport’s local business by reading my previous blog post.

In 1868, the first bridge was built to connect downtown to Eastport across Spa Creek. In 1998, the bridge was temporarily shut down for repairs, which did not settle well with the Maritime Republic of Eastport. The “slaughter across the water”, an annual tug-of-war challenge between downtown Annapolis and Eastport, was born shortly after as one of the many fundraisers sponsored by this organization. Eastport is also popular because it’s home to the Maritime Museum. The Maritime Museum offers daily tours, exhibits, art galleries, lectures and even provides camps for children in the summertime, creating a memorable experience for many Annapolitans and visitors.

One of the most impressive things about living or visiting Eastport is getting a chance to dine in one of the many seafood and steakhouse restaurants. Many situated nicely in a row on the waterfront, Eastport restaurants are known by locals and out-of-towners to have some of the best cuisines Annapolis has to offer. My family really enjoys Vin 909 for dinner and Boatyard Bar and Grill for breakfast/brunch on the weekends. The town of Eastport may become even more attractable in the near future with the project completion of the Annapolis Yacht Club, which is forecasted to open in the fall of this year. This sailing playground will be located on both sides of the Eastport Bridge, making it an exclusive hot spot in Annapolis.

Don’t forget I also have a NON-MLS listing 940 Creek Drive that is currently under construction. The first floor framing is in place and the dock and bulkhead have been completed! Mona Design Build and myself are thrilled to present this unique property to the Annapolis real estate marketplace. Please contact me directly at [email protected] or (301) 461-7987 for more info.
